Drinking tips.
To keep important metabolic activities going, coffee and tea (with the exception of green tea) are totally unsuitable. They even dehydrate the body. It is much better to take water, vegetable and fruit juices for this purpose. The southerners show us how to do it properly: If you order an espresso in Italy, you will also always get a glass of water, to balance the loss of liquids.
The following rules of thumb should be regarded in everyday life:
  • Always place the beverage in view.
  • A glass of water before the meal aids the digestion – and at the same time satiates.
  • To often drink smaller amounts is better than a lot all at once.
  • Choice of beverage: For example water (with or without carbonation), fruit and vegetable juices.
