Ratingen. The trend towards a completely individual and, as far as possible, unique setting for the washbasin as the focal point of the home bathroom is becoming stronger. The combination of washbasins with countertops of glass, natural stone or exotic woods is enjoying great popularity with builders and renovators, as this offers a particularly large variety of individual design possibilities.

In line with this development, Keramag presents three new insert washbasins in the mineral material “Varicor“, which open up a wide range of versatile combinations. The solidly-coloured material is characterised by a particularly pleasant silky surface feel and is largely scratch resistant. Moreover, the solid surface material meets the highest hygiene and ease of cleaning requirements due to its insensitivity to stains and chemicals.

The design of the new models follows the clear basic shapes of rectangle and circle. With “Rondo” this becomes apparent in the round bowl with a 48 cm diameter, which also has a shallow edge and central outlet flow incorporated in a timeless minimalist shape. Conceived as a tasteful alternative to this soft shape, the rectangular washbasin “Futura“ (60 cm x 54 cm) is dominated by corners and edges. Through the clear external contours combined with a symmetrically rounded bowl, as well as the more conventional bevel edge towards the back, a convincing highlight is achieved that links modern and traditional design. The square model “Cubic“ (59.5 cm x 59.5 cm) ultimately combines both shapes. It is inspired by the renowned classic design of “Preciosa“, where a rectangular silhouette is met by a round bowl to create a beautiful eyecatcher. Through their unostentatious design and pure white colour, the single washbasins can complement many different styles and sanitary ceramic series.
